Thanksgiving is a time to reflect how we are so filled with gratitude. All of us at Hearing Health Foundation—scientists, Board of Directors, advisers, volunteers, and staff—extend our sincerest thanks to you.
Because of your support, we are able to press on with our mission to prevent, research, and cure hearing loss, tinnitus, and related hearing and balance conditions. Along with Sarah (shown with her family)—and the millions who live with hearing and balance conditions—we want you to know how much you are tremendously appreciated this Thanksgiving.
We wish you and your loved ones a safe, happy, and healthy holiday.
Warmly,
Timothy Higdon

The strength of pitch encoding under noise reduction was linked to how accurately people recognized words in noise. This suggests that measuring NR effects on subcortical speech encoding is doable, and could offer a novel way to predict who will benefit from NR in hearing aids.
